Engineering & Mass Com Technology Students Visit New Ismailia City

As part of Sinai University’s interest in human development, building functional patriotic character and following up on the Armed Forces’ efforts in housing and utilities areas, the university has organized a field trip for 42 students to the new Ismailia City, an edifice overlooking the Suez Canal bank. Through coordination with the Ministry of Defense Project Management, project manager Brigadier Tariq Mohammed greeted the students and presented a detailed description of the megaproject using maps and blueprints of the initial stages of the project. Then, Brigadier Mohammed escorted the students to the 90-acre Social Club of the giant city where they listened to a demonstration about the club’s unique facilities. The students also inspected the 30-acre water lake and its main distinct wooden restaurant and the front row villas built on the banks of the lake, which has surprised the students. Afterwards, they visited the grand festivity hall that hosts more than 1,000 individuals, as well as the restaurants complex, swimming pools, playgrounds area, and activities building.

It is worth mentioning that the project was built on a total area of 2828 acres and includes 57 thousand housing units, five districts and integrated services center where all run on solar energy.

For their part, the students were all impressed by the outstanding level of the city and by the feeling that efforts are being made and projects actually delivered on the ground. The students expressed full readiness to exercise voluntary work for any of the Armed Forces projects.
